Kuwait shares its green, white, red, and black with Jordan's flag, but arranges them completely differently, in horizontal green-white-red bands with a black trapezoid wedged in at the hoist. It's actually the only national flag built around that trapezoid shape, adopted in 1961, the same year Kuwait became independent. Locals fly it hard around National Day every February.
What 🇰🇼 means
A rectangular flag composed of a horizontal triband of green, white, and red. The left portion of this triband is occupied by a black quadrilateral, the base of which lies along the left border, while the polygon tapers and meets at a shorter distance at the center.
The 🇰🇼 Flag: Kuwait emoji represents the State of Kuwait; a West Asian country, also known as just 'Kuwait' in the colloquial tongue. It shares its northern border with 🇮🇶 Iraq. This emoji is shown with its country code; KW, on platforms that don't support flag emojis.
