Uzbekistan's government has never actually confirmed what the symbols on its flag mean, which hasn't stopped decades of guessing. Blue, white, and green bands are separated by thin red lines, with a white crescent and twelve stars, commonly guessed to stand for the months of the year, sitting in the upper corner. It's been official since November 1991, meaning and all left unofficial.
