What 🎫 means
A rectangular yellow ticket, one-fourth of which is lined with a tearable line, with details of the event (a concert on Jan 9th at 9:41 PM) printed on the larger side and the 'zone' or 'seat' on the narrow side.
The 🎫 Ticket emoji signifies a ticket to any event. These tickets are generally not limited, but rather accessible to all those who buy it. It can be a ticket to a concert, a play, a movie, a travel destination, anything.
How and when to use it
- While texting your buddies that tickets to that much, much, much-awaited concert are finally booked, use 🎫. Like, "Gang! GANG! THE TICKETS ARE BOOKED!!! 🎫".
- Also, a ticket essentially means your presence at a particular event is confirmed and you cannot be elsewhere. So, if you're texting your colleague(s) as to why you cannot make it to the meeting, use 🎫 - "Oh. Didn't I mention before? I'm gone for three days! 🎫".
- 🎫 can be used to suggest travel tickets as well. If you're sharing social media stories/posts or even direct messages (DMs) about the break you've waited for so long, bring in 🎫. For example, "I worked so hard that I forgot to vacation. But NOT this time! 🎫".
- You could also use 🎫 while referring to a different place in a metaphorical sense. For instance, "Gurl. It's alright to be nervous, but trust me, this will be your ticket to the life you've always wanted 🎫".
