What means
A hillside giving way — earth and rocks sliding down a slope. The Landslide emoji (Emoji 17.0, September 2025) is one of the release's serious additions: a symbol for natural disasters, hazard warnings, and geological events, joining 🌋 and 🌪️ in the keyboard's emergency kit.
Figuratively, it covers anything collapsing under its own weight — and the occasional landslide election victory.
How and when to use it
- Genuinely useful in weather and hazard alerts: "Road to the pass closed after last night's — check routes before driving."
- For metaphorical collapses: "One missed deadline and the whole week went "
- Election-night shorthand: "Called it early — absolute victory."
