Worm Emoji 🪱

A plain earthworm, and one of the few emoji that means the animal, the fishing bait, and a piece of malware depending entirely on who's typing it. Cybersecurity writers use it literally, since a computer worm spreads itself with no human help, while everyone else has it for compost, an earworm pun, or a low-key way to call themselves pathetic.

What 🪱 means

A slender body with pink skin and darker shaded stripes spread across the length of the worm's body. On some platforms, this character has an animated face, and sometimes, its faceless.

Worms come in different shapes, sizes, and places. The 🪱 Worm emoji signifies nature, the earth, agriculture, and farmer buddies. It can also suggest crawling, small stature, parasitic qualities (in some), and the ability to climb anything or anyone.
