Guess the Emoji, unlimited

Like The Daily Five, minus the patience requirement. It keeps going until you miss.

Shuffling the deck…

How it works

One emoji at a time, drawn in its official artwork, four possible names underneath β€” three decoys pulled from the same corner of the emoji universe, plus the real one. Every right answer extends your streak; one miss ends the run. Your best run is remembered on this browser, and bragging rights are self-service.

The names are the formal ones from the Unicode standard, which is what makes this harder than it sounds β€” plenty of emojis are not called what everyone calls them. When a run ends on a name that feels unfair, the emoji links straight to its page so you can file a mental complaint and read what it's actually for. Nearly 2,000 emojis are in the deck, from the 2010 originals to this year's arrivals, so no two runs feel the same.
