Yellow emojis

Yellow got the whole emoji project started — before hearts, flags, and food, it was just a face on a phone screen, and it's still yellow because nobody's touched the default since. 😂 held the most-used-emoji title for the better part of a decade before 😭 finally overtook it, and both faces are yellow anyway, so the color never actually lost. Away from the faces, lemon and banana run the produce aisle, honey pot and cheese wedge cover the pantry, and the three baby chicks — hatching, standing, mid-squawk — are the same bird at three life stages that read completely differently in a text.
